This & That Northwest goes to Arizona: Meeting Niki in Black Canyon, AZ.

One of the pleasures of doing This & That Northwest, is randomly meeting and getting to know people. And in doing so, coming to the realization that we are all more alike than we may think. Such as the case in meeting Niki, a store clerk we met while driving thru Black Canyon, AZ. Here's a short chat we had with her.

    Artist Direwolf Omega

Introducing artist and lucid dreamer Direwolf Omega. Most artists get their inspiration from what they see around them in the real world, but for DireWolf his inspiration comes from dreams he's had since he was very young. He continues to have those dreams as an adult, but now he can consciously control them as a lucid dreamer. He uses his artwork to bring his interpretation of those dreams to life.

    Baseball Memories with Jim Burke

This & That Northwest visits New Mexico. It's probably not the usual place to talk baseball, but that's where we met Jim Burke, inside the St. Francis Cathedral. Being a die-hard baseball fan, particularly for the Colorado Rockies--hence the Rockies baseball coat--we chatted for quite awhile as he recalls his baseball memories about his dad.

    Street Performer Antonio Nunez

Check out Antonio Nunez, a street performer in Austin, TX, with a unique dance performance. While visiting Austin, TX, our host took us to a part of town called South Congress, also known as Soco. Though we got there in the early afternoon, it was still a lively place with plenty of restaurants and boutiques to visit. It's probably safe to assume the night life activity there would be ten-fold. Like many other cities, street performers were out there entertaining the tourists and locals alike. There we met Antonio Nunez who had a unique dance routine that we've never seen before; though he admits that he had seen someone else do it first and decided to give a try. Thanks for the show Antonio! Please Subscribe to our YouTube Channel to be notified of future videos. Yohosame: Handpan Musician

It was our first time in Santa Fe, New Mexico and we had just started our day touring the city. It wasn't long when we heard a unique sound just ahead. The sound was coming from a special instrument called the handpan, an interesting shape instrument that could resemble a space ship, but it's actually two metal half-shells glued together. And the person performing for the tourists and locals walking about was a gentleman named Yohosame. Join us as Yohosame graciously shares a bit of his journey as a musician and how he came to play the handpan.
